General Study Questions
You will be in the study for about 180 weeks (about 3.5 years).
You will visit the study site for tests and health checks about 26 times (1 Screening visit, 24 visits during the Study Treatment Period, and 1 Follow-up visit).
You may or may not directly benefit from being in the clinical study. However, your health will be continuously monitored throughout the study, and any information collected during the study may help doctors learn more about treating others with atopic dermatitis.
Taking part in the study will not cost you anything. You will receive the study medication and all the study tests at no cost to you. Reimbursement for travel may be provided. Speak to the study doctor for more information.
The global healthcare company Sanofi is sponsoring the ATLANTIS Study. They pay the study doctor and study site to run this study.
Being in the study is voluntary. If you decide to join and then change your mind, you can leave the study at any time. Leaving the study will not affect your regular medical care.
Study Treatment Questions
The study medication is given as an injection (shot) into the fatty layer just beneath the skin of the abdomen, outer thigh, or upper arm. You will receive an injection every 4 weeks for about 3 years.
During the study you may be able to keep using certain topical medications, moisturizers, and steroid creams. The study doctor will let you know which treatments you are allowed to use.
As with all medicines, there is a possibility for side effects, which are unwanted and unintended effects from a medicine. Talk to the study doctor for more information on possible side effects. Your health will be closely monitored during the entire study. It is very important to tell the study doctor if you notice any changes in your health or if anything is bothering you.
